The Town of Garner has named Pam and Mike Gordon of White Deer Trail in the Autumn Oaks subdivision winners of the September 2012 Residential Property Yard of the Month award. Garner Volunteer Fire-Rescue, Inc., Station 1 (503 West Main St.) won the Commercial Property of the Month award.
The Town is proud to support the continued efforts of the Properties of the Month winners as they work to maintain their well-designed and beautifully landscaped properties. These award winners are making the effort to improve the appearance of their property and are adding to the overall appearance of the entire community.
Neighborhood Improvement Manager Reginald Buie developed and implemented the Residential and Commercial Property Improvement Program to preserve and enhance the value of residential and commercial properties in Garner. Each month, Town staff determine a winner in both residential and business/commercial property categories using a point system and predetermined criteria.
