Garner Magnet High School hosted a student-run Gallery Show Opening on May 14, in the school’s library. The show featured artwork and fiction from the GMHS Art Club, the Creative Writers’ Club, and music from the Jazz Band. On May 13, the Garner Educational Foundation held the 2013 Marjorie B. Home receives extensive damage in blaze
  Garner Fire officials responded to a house fire last week. Although officials were able to get the fire under control quickly, they were not able to save the home.   According to Garner Fire Rescue Chief Matthew Poole, Garner fire officials received a report of a fire at 2:04 p.m. on May 14 at 8414 Fawncrest Drive .
