Local residents will see two new faces on the Garner Police Department. In early February, Andrew David Bauer and Kevin Ronnie Murray were sworn in as Garner’s newest police officers. Baurer is no stranger to the Garner community. Although Bauer was born in Virginia, he moved to North Carolina in 1994. Twelve area teens face charges in connection with fatal accident
On February 16, Cleveland High School student William Lee Tippet, 18, of Garner died in a single car collision.
