Kenseth wins Southern 500 for a JGR weekend sweep Matt Kenseth completed the weekend sweep for Joe Gibbs Racing at Darlington Raceway by winning the Bojangles Southern 500. And, it was accomplished with a substitute crew chief. Regular crew chief Jason Ratcliff was serving a six race NASCAR suspension (reduced to one on an appeal). Wally Brown took on the duties. Golfers support Garner The 31st Annual Garner Chamber of Commerce Golf Outing was held on May 9. The event was held at River Ridge Golf Club in Raleigh.
After registration, golfers were invited to unlimited range balls before their shotgun start at 1 p.m. Food and drinks were provided by various sponsors and dinner was served to the golfers by Logan’s Roadhouse during the awards ceremony.
