The Miss Garner’s Outstanding Little Miss Pageant will be held Saturday, Feb. 18 at the Garner Performing Arts Center. This is the second year of the pageant. Tickets are $10 and will be available at the door.

There are seven different titles to be given out during the day – Miss Garner’s Outstanding Petite Miss title for ages 3 and 4, Miss Garner’s Outstanding Little Miss for ages 5 and 6, Miss Garner’s Outstanding Junior Miss for ages 7 and 8, Miss Garner’s Outstanding Preteen Miss for ages 9 and 10 and Miss Garner’s Outstanding Young Miss for ages 11 to 13. There also are two majestic titles – Miss Garner’s Outstanding Little Miss Mini Majestic, the overall winner for the Petite and Little categories, and Miss Garner’s Outstanding Little Miss Majestic, the overall winner for the Junior, Preteen and Young categories.

Phases of competition include beauty and fitness for all categories. In the Little, Junior, Preteen, and Young divisions, a private interview is required. The photogenic category of competition is optional for all divisions; however, it is required for a Majestic title. Talent is another optional category for the Petite and Little divisions, although it is required for a Majestic title. A two-minute talent is required for Junior, Preteen and Young divisions.

Judges for the Miss Garner’s Outstanding Little Miss Pageant program will be former Miss Garner winners from the 1970s, 80s, 90s and 2000s as well as a mother of a past Miss Garner. The theme is Masquerade Magic. The pageant will be held at 2 p.m. For more information about the pageant, go to www.missgarner.org.
