Lynda Cherry Thomas
Lynda Cherry Thomas, formerly of Raleigh and Garner, N.C., passed on Friday, February 10, 2012 in Moragantown, W.V., at Ruby Memorial Hospital. Ms. Thomas was born November 26, 1947 in Asheville N.C., daughter of the late Katherine Buck and Dr. James Henderson Cherry MD.
She is survived by her children, Laura Grace Wunsch (Jason) of Fuquay-Varina, N.C., and Ronald Garfield Thomas of Philippi, W.V., her sisters, Eleanor Cherry Beasley (Benjamin) of Gastonia, N.C., Anna Cherry Kreiner (Gordon) and brothers, James Henderson Cherry III (Jo) of Shelbyville, Ind., Charles Edgar Cherry of Raleigh, N.C., and David Buck Cherry, African Mercy Ships, of Waco, Texas, and Ghana, Africa, and her grandchild, Brookelyn Wunsch (Jason and Laura).
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her grandparents, Daisy Bridger and James Henderson Cherry Sr. of Windsor, N.C., and Pearl Ramsey and David M. Buck of Bald Mountain, N.C.
