Erin and her family reside in Fuquay-Varina and are members of St. Bernadette’s parish where she starting teaching second grade Faith Formation and RCIC classes while in the seventh grade. Additionally, Erin has been on two mission trips to Honduras to work with underprivileged children at several schools. Erin says, “Between teaching at St. Bernadette’s and working with the children in Honduras, I realize a desire to teach and counsel children who are deprived of a proper education and upbringing”. Erin plans to teach fifth grade level academics either abroad or in areas within the United States where underprivileged children need educational assistance.

The Tony Zsoldos Award is in memory of Anthony Zsoldos who was a Knights of Columbus member and was instrumental in helping others, especially young children, to continue to learn and make a contribution to society.
