Hip Pocket closes out the 2012 season of Music off Main, Garner’s Downtown Concert Series, on Thursday, Sept. 13. Hip Pocket plays everything from 60’s soul and 80’s Dance Music to today’s hot new Country and party Rock & Roll. If Carolina Beach Music is your thing they play the Rock & Soul Classics you are looking for.
The concert series is held on the Back Lawn of the Garner Performing Arts Center. Parking is available at the Performing Arts Center main entrance at 742 West Garner Road and throughout the Avery Street campus located at 125 Avery Street.
Bring your chairs or blankets but no coolers, please. Food and beverage vendors will be on site including Moe’s Southwest, Carolina Coney Hot Dogs and Pelican Snoballs. Beer and wine are also available for purchase. Come out and enjoy dinner and live music on the lawn. Concerts are from 6 until 9 p.m. and admission is free.
A new addition to the concert series this year is Art off Main, an art market featuring local artists and creative professionals displaying and selling their works. Please come out and support the performing and visual arts in Garner.
