I would like to take this opportunity to express my own sympathies to the families of the ConAgra Foods tragedy last week. This has been difficult for the people of Garner, but we cannot fully understand their grief at this time. My thoughts and prayers go out to them. Barbara Spears, Lewis Watson and Rachel Pulley were not just victims in the ConAgra Foods plant explosion. Each one of them had a family and a story to tell. It is my hope that the Garner News can tell those stories in the future, but I understand we must allow the families time to soak in all that has happened in the last week.
I also would like to thank the Town of Garner staff for being so forthcoming with information and keeping the press informed of the latest news. It has helped the Garner News staff to keep readers updated.
