US Daughters of 1812 donate genealogical books to state library

Lynne Belvin, of Garner, donated on behalf of the Captain Johnston Blakely Chapter of the United States Daughers of 1812, a copy of her book, on wills, marriage bonds, bible records, and land grants to the Genealogical Services Branch of the NC State Library in Raleigh. A copy of this book has also been donated to the National USD 1812 Library in Washington, DC. The book is one hundred pages with a copy of the original document and a typed copy. This was a state project of the Lineage and Historical Records Committee. She also donated a copy of The Lanier Family in Europe. Virginia and Duplin County, N.C. The books were accepted by Genealogy Specialist Kay Tillotson and Sherry Johnson
