Grace Anthony, daughter of Lisa and Phil Anthony of Garner, received the University of the South - Sewanee Book Award, presented recently at the Saint Mary's School annual academic honors convocation. The award is given by the alumni of the University of the South — Sewanee to high school students in recognition of their academic achievement, citizenship and leadership. Miss Anthony is a rising senior at the Raleigh school.

Founded in 1842, Saint Mary's School is an independent, Episcopal, college-preparatory, boarding and day school, dedicated to academic excellence and personal achievement for young women in grades 9-12. Saint Mary's School is the seventh-largest girls boarding and day school in the nation.
