Angier Medical Center is a family practice Federally Qualified Health Center. The site offers medical care to the community with a wide range of special programs including a sliding fee scale, prescription savings programs, and evening hours. Congressman Bob Etheridge will present the center with a check representing the $585,300 in stimulus funds received in July 2009. The Open House is an opportunity for the community to tour the site as well as to meet the site’s lead provider, Dr. Jaimita Patel.
The Open House is part of First Choice Community Health Centers’ celebration of National Health Center week. This week is dedicated to honoring the health centers that provide services to over 18 million people nationwide and save the health care system over $17.6 billion annually. Chief Executive Officer Sheila Simmons will be on hand to answer questions about the health centers.
