Henry Beeman Estes, 57, passed away at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh, August 5, 2009. Henry was born in Dallas, Texas to Robert Estes and the late Shirley Walker. A loving husband and father, Mr. Estes was an avid train enthusiast, devout Christian, an Old Testament scholar, and a man whose life was filled with love from those around him and the love with which he treated others.

Mr. Estes leaves behind a devout wife, Melodie Estes, and son, Michael Rollin Estes; brothers, Bobby Estes and John Estes; sister Nancy Griffeth, husband Jack; Nieces and Nephews, Jessie, Alice, Jackson, Rebecca, Evan and Ginger. In addition, Henry leaves other important family members, David and Cara Perdue, Dawn and Jerry Walker, James and Dagmar Theodore and Betty and Scott Walton.

A memorial service was held at Williford Funeral Home, August 8, 2009 at 6 p.m. A visitation with the family took place an hour before the service.
