Local author Joey Pinkney will be speaking at the Southeast Regional Library, on Thursday, Oct. 22 at 6:30 p.m.

Joey Pinkney is the newly published author of the short story "Like Father, Like Son" which is featured in The Soul of a Man: A Triumph of My Soul Anthology.

The Soul of a Man has been nominated for Best Short Stories /Anthologies for the 2009 African American Literary Awards Show to be held Thursday, Sept. 24 in Harlem, NY.

Joey Pinkney AKA "Favorite Book Reviewer's Favorite Book Reviewer... Period!" posts author interviews and book reviews on his website, www.joeypinkney.com, as well as other media outlets. His author interview series, "5 Minutes, 5 Questions With..." has featured over 100 authors of various genres, from the relatively unknown to Essence and New York Times Bestsellers.
