Well… it just proves it. Make an event exciting enough and even in a down economy “they will come.” Dr. Perry Kirch’s event The Garner Chiropractic Open (GCO) was held on Sept. 11, 2009 at Eagle Ridge Golf Club and attended by over 130 players. This was the 8th Annual GCO and special guests included 2009 Miss North Carolina-Elizabeth Southard, Canadian Tour Pro Nemanja Savic, and Miss 2008

Johnston County-Kinsie Howell sang the National Anthem for the Patriot Day Event. For eight years the GCO has raised money to benefit hundreds of children and this year was asked by Billy Gooch, General Manager at Eagle Ridge to be part of Patriot Golf Day (www.PatriotGolfDay.com). “I was honored that my event was chosen to help raise money for children who have either lost a parent or become disabled during military duty,” said Dr. Kirch. Sponsors for the event included Land Rover Cary, Cottman Transmission, Eastern Bikes, DJF Builders, Prep-Rite Painting, J. Scott Builders, The Rodney Carroll Team, Centerpointe Construction & Development, Carolina Insurance Professionals, R&D Painting, Desktop Consultants, Fuquay Chiropractic & Wellness Center, Wollip, ColumnsKidsPillows.com, Dr. Perry Kirch, Laurels of Forest Glenn, BLD Science, Creedmoor Chiropractic, The AWARD Group, SS Signs, Brent Adams & Associates, Langdon & McKenzie, Potters Industries and Buffaloe Mini Storage. The event is hosted by Garner Chiropractic & Wellness Center (Dr. Perry J. Kirch). No one hit the 165 yard hole-in-one for the 2009 $65,000.00 Range Rover but maybe next year. Prizes and giveaways totaled over $15,000.00 this year. The event has reached full capacity each year for the past 4 years and Dr. Kirch says he may have to make it a two-day event in the future to allow more players to play in what many golfers call “the most fun 4-person tournament in the area”. Dr. Kirch says, “Thanks to all the players, sponsors and 200+ people associated with my annual event, we can all make a difference, I can’t wait until next year!”
