Trojans fall just short of win at end of 2009 season

The Garner Magnet High School Trojans Cross Country team came close, but Harnett Central won out in the last regular meet of the 2009 season last week. Many of Garner’s runners had their best times.

Boys: HC 26 GMHS 29 Louis Vargas HC 15:55 David L. HC 17:30 Taylor Brunson GMHS 18:01

Girls: HC 26 GMHS 37 Michelle Bailey GMHS 19:20 Haley Smith HC 21:02 Itzel Gonzalez HC 23:35

Oct. 7, Garner ran against East Wake in the Cross Country meet at Lake Benson Park. The Boys lost by one point. The girls won by 3 points.
