George Merical, Jr, 76, died Saturday, October 17, 2009. A native of Ithaca, NY he was the son of the late, George Merical, Sr. and Thelma Mente Merical. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 21 at St. Andrews United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Lucy Merical; daughters, JoAnn Merical of Homer, NY, Sherry Armstrong and her husband, Gerald of Spencer, NY and Suzanna Brown and her husband, Kevin of Clayton, N.C.; sons, Bruce Merical and his wife, Kim of Zebulon, N.C., Patrick Merical and his wife, Connie of Owasco, NY and Jonathan Merical and his wife, Natalie of Durham, N.C.; grandchildren, Lyn Mosher, Michelle Games, Michael Merical, Samantha Merical, Aaron Saville, Brandy Armstrong, Shawn Armstrong, Nicole Armstrong, and seven week old twins, Sarah Brown and Matthew Brown; four great grandchildren, nephew Tom Churchill and wife, Sereta of California, two canine friends, Angel and Princess, and many great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Harold Churchill and a granddaughter, Rebecca Saville. Visitation will be held between 6 and 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 20 at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home in Garner.
