The Garner High School Band Booster Club held a fundraiser on Oct. 24, 2009 at Fantastic Sams Hair Salon located at 4458 Fayetteville Road, Raleigh at the Walmart Shopping Center. The high school band participated by bring out members of the brass and drum section to play on the sidewalk in front of the salon.Other band members along with parents came out to show there support and stood along with the band.
Fantastic Sams offered haircuts for $10, add all proceeds from those cuts were directly donated to the band booster club.
In addition to showing support to the band by donating the proceeds, Fantastic Sams also appreciates the new customers that came out.
The event was able to raise $400 for the band in addition to providing a fun day to all those who attended.
