Annie Carlyle Bell, 86, died Saturday, November 14, 2009. Throughout her life, Annie was a dedicated faithful servant in all of her church communities, more recently Tippett’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church Clayton. She was predeceased by her husband, Alvin Victor Bell. A Funeral Service was held at 2 p.m. Monday, November 16 at Tippett’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. The burial followed at Powhatan Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery, Clayton. Surviving are her son, CDR Jim Bell, USN (ret.) and wife, Anne, of Garner; daughters, Ruby Harris and her husband, Randy, of Garner, Vicky Howell and husband, John, of Zebulon; sisters, Dorothy McLamb of Raleigh and Lucy Gray Martinez of Creedmoor; grandchildren, Jennifer Holt, Nathan Bell, Sarah Bell, Jordan Bell, Jason Harris, Patrick Harris, Traci Howell, J. D. Howell (now serving in Iraq) and Melissa Szulczewski; great granddaughter, Carolina Harris. Visitation took place from 6 to 8 p.m. November 15 at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home in Garner.
