James A. “ Jimmy” Wester, 70, of Garner joined Jesus on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009, after recently being diagnosed with lung cancer. He was hospitalized soon after receiving several treatments.
On August 15, 2000, he survived a tragic industrial accident, which left him paralyzed. Jimmy was a loving husband, and a wonderful father and grandfather. His love for his family, friends and God were the most important things in his life. He was truly an inspiration to all those whom his life touched.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Elizabeth Wester; and one brother, Wiston.
