Stephen “Dale” Faucette, 51, Warehouse Manager with Cardinal International, died unexpectedly Saturday, November 14, 2009. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 18 at Ebenezer United Methodist Church. We remember Dale as our beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend. Dale loved spending time with his family. You could often find him at the ball fields coaching and cheering on his sons. Dale had a strong passion for many sports and was an avid Duke fan. Actively involved in his church, Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Dale appreciated his church family. A native of Granville County, he enjoyed spending time with his dad as a member of the Eno Masonic Lodge #210 and of the Sudan Temple. Dale’s sons will miss watching Duke games and playing video games with their dad. They will miss his kind heart and how he made them laugh. Surviving are his wife, Beth Freeman Faucette; sons, Justin Faucette and wife, Carter, of Cary, Joseph and Will Faucette, both of the home and Daniel Austin and wife, Jennifer of Roxboro; parents, Steve and Pauline Faucette of Creedmoor; sister, Lynne Bullock of Stem and brother Jeff Faucette and wife, Betsy of Creedmoor and mother-in-law, Sue Freeman. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Cameron Austin. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 17 at Ebenezer United Methodist Church Faith Life Center and at other times at the home of Sue Freeman, 6404 Rock Quarry Road, Raleigh. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to an Education Trust Fund for his sons at the State Employees Credit Union, c/o Jennifer Keene, 2401 Blue Ridge Road, Raleigh, NC 27607.
