Holiday Food Drive for the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle The staff at the Southeast Library is holding a holiday food drive for the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle’s
Backpack Buddies program.
The BackPack Buddies Program provides children from food-insecure homes with weekend and holiday meals during the school year. The children receive a backpack, containing six nutritious and balanced meals, at the end of every week. We are collecting single serve portions of canned meats, canned stews, packaged noodles, 100 percent juice boxes, shelf-stable milk, healthy snacks, breakfast items, and canned fruit. Please avoid bringing candy, sugary cereals, Pop-Tarts, cookies, potato chips, or other junk food. If patrons would like to make monetary donations, please stop by the main circulation desk and staff can process your donation there.
