Garner Parks and Recreation Department‘s youth basketball season tipped off Tuesday night, Jan. 5 at Avery Street Recreation Center. In a battle of cats, the Tigers tamed the Wildcats in the Mite Competitive League opener for each team. The accompanying game photographs display the core values of the league, which are participation, skill development, sportsmanship and fun. Play continues through March.
