Arrests

Dexter Lee Jeffries, 21, of Garner, was charged with contempt of court on Jan. 5.

Howard Edward Smith Jr., 47, was charged with contempt of court on Jan. 6.

Robert Silva Jr., 23, of Willow Spring, was charged with embezzlement on Jan. 6.

Patrick Louis Howard, 50, of Garner, was charged with driving while impaired and indecent exposure on Jan. 7.

Willie Edwards Jones, 55, of Raleigh, was charged with contempt of court on Jan. 7.

Urijah Najja Covington, 21, of Raleigh, was charged with simple possession on Jan. 9.

Silas Charles Montague Jr., 48, was charged with larceny on Jan. 9.

Ian Douglas Barnes, 33, of Garner, was charged with assault on Jan. 9.

Donald Walter Lea, 46, was charged with contempt of court on Jan. 9.

Williams Sylvester Allen, 47, of Raleigh, was charged with larceny on Jan. 11.

Thefts

Police are continuing to investigate fraud that as reported at national Pawn on Jan. 4.

A forcible entry burglary was reported at a residence on Buckingham Road on Jan. 4. A window was damaged and an air conditioner stolen. The case is under further investigation.

Police are continuing to investigate a burglary at a residence on Dunhaven Drive that occurred on Jan. 4. The suspect entered the unoccupied dwelling by forcing their way in through a basement window. Reports did not indicate what, if anything was stolen during the crime.

Fraud was reported at Garner Gold N Pawn on Jan. 4 when someone attempted to pawn stolen rings valued at $800. The case is under further investigation.

Police are investigating reported drug possession at Garner Magnet High School.

Management at Walgreen’s reported a suspect stole work out equipment and a plumbing snake on Jan. 5.

The owner of a vehicle parked at CVS reported someone entered their vehicle on Jan. 5 and stole paperwork and a purse.

A vehicle parked at Bryan Place was reportedly broken into on Jan. 6. A GPS unit was stolen during the crime.

Police are continuing to investigate a strong-arm attempted robbery reported on Jan. 6 at the Wilco Hess station.

A Gateway computer and some cash were stolen during a burglary that occurred on Jan. 7 at a residence on Curtiss Drive. The case is under further investigation.

A utility trailer, valued at $1,000, was reported stolen from a residence on November Street on Jan. 7.

The headlights from a vehicle parked at a home on Burnham Court were reported stolen on Jan. 9.

A burglary was reported at a residence on Taunton Court on Jan. 9. The case is under further investigation.

Police are investigating a reported burglary that occurred on Jan. 11 at a home on Sycamore Drive. A revolver was reported stolen.

Other crimes

Police are continuing their investigation of a child sex abuse case that was reported at a residence on Moon Water Way on Jan. 7.
