To celebrate Black History Month, the Town of Garner’s Parks and Recreation Department has joined with the nonprofit group, God’s International Mission, for a special evening of entertainment. Experience the power and magic of African rhythms as you enjoy the Mission’s talented Performance Dancers. Watch as the soaring dancers defy gravity while telling stories through song and dance. Drums, dances, costumes, songs and stories combine to transport the audience to various regions of the African continent. Make plans now to attend this event and connect with Africa and its deep repository of culture. It will speak to all ages, races, abilities and backgrounds!

The performance will take place at the Garner Historic Auditorium, located at 742 West Garner Road, on Saturday, Feb. 27 at 4 p.m. Ticket prices are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and $5 for children. As an added enticement, proceeds from ticket sales will benefit God’s International Mission’s work to feed, clothe, house, educate and provide medical treatment to orphaned and abandoned African children.

For more information about this event, please contact Britt Crews at the Garner Historic Auditorium at 661-4602.
