Brittany’s Battle, Inc. was founded in honor of Brittany Coppedge, a 19 year-old Garner, N.C. resident who lost her battle to lung cancer in 2006 while being treated at UNC. Brittany’s mother Tammy Coppedge recently said, “Our mission is to support families fighting their own battles with cancer, whether that be through financial support, providing them with resources and contacts, or just providing them with a few hours of fun entertainment.”

Brittany’s Battle primarily provides support for families in NC but they have assisted families across the country including South Carolina, Alabama, and even California. They hope to make their first donation to Lung Cancer Research in 2010.
