Award winning vocalist, Dale Ann Bradley, will be in concert at 7:30 p.m. on May 1 at the Garner Historic Auditorium. Performing with Bradley will be Lorraine Jordan and Carolina Road, along with special guest, James King. The Town of Garner and Jordan Entertainment are proud to offer this night of bluegrass music, as the second concert in their cosponsored Bluegrass Series.

Bradley, the 2007, 2008 and 2009 IBMA Female Vocalist of the Year has been hailed by Alison Krauss and Ricky Skaggs as one of the greatest vocalists in country and bluegrass music. Dale Ann Bradley is a gifted storyteller with an extraordinary voice. The Washington Post described her mountain soprano voice as “shimmering.” Billboard Magazine labeled it “angelic.” Bradley was a Primitive Baptist preacher’s kid who grew up in the backwoods of Kentucky in a household that forbade musical instruments and did not have electricity and running water until she was in high school. Many say she has more in common with the first generation of bluegrass artists than many of her contemporaries in today’s scene, and it shows.

Add Garner’s own “Lady of Tradition,” Lorraine Jordan & Carolina Road, with special guest James King, and you have an entire evening of unforgettable entertainment. Don’t miss the enjoyment of a full night of country and bluegrass music with these acclaimed musicians.

Concert tickets are ON SALE NOW for $13 in advance and $15 at the door. Tickets may be purchased online from the Garner Parks and Recreation Department at www.GarnerParks.org, or in person at Garner Town Hall, located at 900 7th Avenue.
