Julie Hoyes and the Sylvan Learning Center staff held the April Business After Hours and a ribbon cutting Apr. 22. Since it was Earth Day, Hoyes held a special event earlier in the day and gave away nearly 30 trees.

The new McDonald’s restaurant at 101 Timber Drive held a ribbon cutting Apr. 28. During the event, there was an open house with heavy hors d'oeuvres.

The Unforgettable Trackside Tavern opened with a ribbon cutting May 6 at Rush Hour Karting. Along with a ribbon cutting, Unforgettable Trackside Tavern goers received free racing on Rush Hour Karting’s European-style go karts and and enjoyed an open mic night.
