Judy Perritt Massey, 74, surrounded by those who loved her, went to be with her Lord on April 30, 2010, and had a wonderful reunion with her loved ones waiting for her there. Born on June 13, 1935, she was a graduate of Garner High School and attended Clayton Community College in Atlanta, Ga. Since her childhood, she had been a member of Ernest Myatt Presbyterian Church, but had recently been unable to attend due to her health. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 4 at Ernest Myatt Presbyterian Church. Burial followed in Raleigh Memorial Park. Judy enjoyed the friendship of many, due to her outgoing personality and love of life. She loved the fun times shared with her sisters and family and spending time and laughter with her grandchildren, the joy of her life. She was always the first one there when needed. She will live forever in the hearts and memories of her family and devoted friends who loved her. Survivors include her husband, Charles Massey; daughters, Debra Sutton and husband, Frank of Wendell, Lynne Blalock and husband, Ricky of Willow Spring and Kristy Beasley and husband, Charles of Nashville, Tenn.; step-daughters, Erin Jenkins and husband, Joshua of Garner, Susan Sain and husband, Terry of Texas; step-son , Mark Massey of Raleigh; eight very special and dear grandchildren and four step-grandchilren; sisters, Hazel Nowell, Harriett Fuquay-Morrow of Raleigh and Bobbie Crocker of Norfolk, Va. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter; sisters, Mellie Butts of Atlanta, Dottie Rowell of Garner and Betty Shofner of Mullins, S.C.; brothers, W. Oliver Perritt of Mullins, S.C. and Earl Perritt of Raleigh. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 3 at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home in Garner.
