Remembering the ConAgra victims

Wednesday, June 9, 2010, ConAgra employees paused to remember those that passed away during the plant explosion one year prior. A private memorial was held at 11:35 a.m. at the plant for workers. That afternoon, a public dedication was held with the posting of a memorial plaque and ribbon cutting at White Deer Park. A bridge will be built at the Greenway with panels on the side that will have information and the name of each person who died as a result of the explosion. The plaque will also be placed at the bridge. ConAgra held a picnic at Lake Benson Park for ConAgra employees and their families, along with rescue and safety personnel.
