Anne Alexis Michels, 59, died unexpectedly at her home in Garner, N.C., on Sunday, June 27. Anne was born April 24, 1951, at Fort Bragg, N.C. She was the daughter of Annie M. and Alex S. Hall, who preceded her in death. Anne graduated from Massey Hill High School in Fayetteville in 1969. She worked at several car dealerships in Fayetteville and at the Holiday Inn/Bordeaux, prior to moving to Garner with her husband in 2002. At the time of her death, she was employed by Curtis Media Group maintaining one of the company’s websites. She is survived by her husband, Paul, of the home in Garner, son, Jason, and two grandchildren, Emma and Jeffrey, in Concord N.C., and by her sister, Judith Taylor, of Stafford, Va. Anne’s loves in life were working in her backyard garden and fish pond and caring for her pets which included 10 birds, two dogs and a tarantella. She loved all the world’s critters. She was involved with area bird clubs and groups. She loved watching classic movies on TV. But the absolute greatest joys in her life were her two grandchildren. Funeral services for Anne Michels were held at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 1200 Benson Road, Garner, NC, at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 1. Family visitation was one hour prior.
