The Town of Garner can now refer homeowners to the Wake County Emergency Grant Program

The Town of Garner is now referring Garner residents to Wake County's Emergency Grant Program. This program is offered to low-income residents that are in need of emergency repairs to their home. Eligible repairs include, but are not limited to the following:

1. Heating/Cooling Systems (HVAC)

2. Well/Septic Systems

3. Roofs

The Grant Program is a "one time only" program and is limited to emergency repairs. The program is also limited to $5,000 per household.

To be eligible for the program, the homeowners must:

1. Reside in the property to be repaired

2. Be up to date on property taxes

3. Be able to provide proof of monthly household income and two

most recent bank statements

4. Income must be under 50% of Wake County's median income

Wake County's median income is as follows:

1 person - $27,200

2 person - $31,100

3 person - $35,000

4 person - $38,850

5 person - $42,000

6 person - $45,100

7 person - $48,200

8 person - $51,300
