13U Cleveland Wildcats travel baseball tryouts The 13U Cleveland Wildcats Travel baseball team, from the Cleveland community, is currently seeking dedicated families and players to fill a few spots on their Fall roster. The Team, which was formed in 2008 and has won numerous tournament championships, is coached by former State High School Player of the Year Shawn Moore and assistant coaches Dan Flores and John Holt. The Coaching staff has a combined 30 plus years of experience in helping kids develop their passion for baseball. Cleveland Wildcats 10U Baseball The Cleveland Wildcats 10U Baseball team will be holding tryouts for the upcoming season on July 31 and Aug. 7. If your child is 9, 10 or doesn’t turn 11 until after May 1, 2011, they are eligible to play so bring them out. Tryouts will be held at the GCAA (Field 3) at 8994 Cleveland School Road from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to start. 13U Cleveland Wildcats Blue Tryouts The Cleveland Wildcats Blue 13U baseball team is looking for dedicated players and parents to complete our fall roster. American Legion Post 116 Sock Hop The American Legion Post 116 will be hosting a Corn Roast and Chicken BBQ at the post (6400 Johnson Pond Road in Fuquay-Varina) on July 24, 2010 from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. followed by a Sock Hop from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Besides corn and chicken, there will be boiled potatoes and slaw. You can eat in or take out. The Sock Hop will be D.J.'d by 'DJ Ray in the House' with old 50's and 60's music. The cost of a plate will be $6 and the dance is $5. For a plate and dance combo the cost will be $10. Additional corn will be $1 each. Every Friday night we have karaoke and dancing for your entertainment. We have two halls for rentals, too.
