Thomas Martin Fair, Sr., 82, of Carson Street in Garner, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2012 at his home. He was born in Campbellsville, Ky., on December 18, 1929 son of the late Joe and Martie Sweeney Fair. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Thomas Martin Fair, Jr., and one daughter Deitra Mae Fair.
A graveside service was conducted on Friday, June 8 at the Hobious Ridge Cemetery in Campbellsville, Ky.
Mr. Fair is survived by his wife, Goldyna Robinson Fair, of the home; two daughters, Della F. McLamb of Angier, N.C., and Ella F. Cagle and husband Danny of Willow Springs, N.C.; two sons, Dennis M. Fair and wife Starr of Bear Creek, N.C., and Darrell M. Fair and wife Meimei of Goldsboro, N.C.; two sisters, Edna F. Mills of Indianapolis, Ind., and Roxie F. Nichols and husband Charles of LaFayette, Ind.
The family received friends Monday, June 4 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Palmer Memorial Freewill Baptist Church in Garner and Thursday, June 7 at the Lyon-Dewitt Funeral Home in Campbellsville, Ky. Arrangements by the Smith Funeral Home in Moncure, N.C.
